I used to think crochet was ugly then changed my mind as mentioned here, and here is another example of some crochet looking mighty damn fine. I am loving these colours. Loving them.
(I still haven't started making anything myself yet).

On saturday I did a crochet class. I'd never tried crocheting before, and at first it was FREAKING HARD. But I sort of got the hang of it, and I managed to make this square.
I've actually always thought crochet is quite ugly. I'm not a fan of acrylic wool, or the black and fluro combo. But I've been seeing really nice blankets in interior photos and various blogs (see below), and got really keen on making one myself.
A whole blanket is a big call, I'll keep you posted.
